Lee East End is growing.

Lee Montessori moved into 2345 R Street SE in the fall of 2020. Our East End campus at that time was only four classrooms, but we knew we were growing, and our eventual goal was to serve grades PK3 - 6th. To meet this goal, and provide free, public, high-quality Montessori education to as many students as possible, we knew we would have to expand our building. Throughout 2021 and 2022, school leadership held community meetings, worked with city officials, and selected an Architect and Contractor to help us achieve our vision of expanding our campus. After numerous road bumps, we were finally able to start construction in July 2023. On August 26, 2024, we welcomed our students and families into our new Elementary Expansion wing!
